一、含有be動詞的一般疑問句，通常把be動詞調到句首。例如：

陳述句：They are in the swimming pool。

一般疑問句：Are they in the swimming pool？

注意：一般疑問句句末要用“？”。

二、含有情態動詞的一般疑問句（can， may。。。），把情態動詞調到句首。例如：

陳述句：He can drive a car。

一般疑問句： Can he drive a car？

三、含有have的一般疑問句，have譯為“有”。一般疑問句式有兩種形式：

1。把have/has調到句首。例如：

陳述句：Tommy has a computer。

一般疑問句：Has Tommy/he a computer？

2。加助動詞do/does，第三人稱單數用does，其他人稱用do。其句型為：Do/Does + 主語 + have。。。？例如上句可變為：

Does Tommy have a computer？

四、一般動詞的一般疑問句，也要藉助助動詞do/does，第三人稱單數用does，其餘人稱用do。其句型為：Do/Does + 主語 + 動詞原形+其它？

陳述句：Amy speaks English。

一般疑問句：Does Amy speak English？

好了，知道了如何問話之後，我們來了解一下如何回答一般疑問句。首先要有人稱的改變。當主語為名詞時，在答語中要改成其相應的代詞。另外，答語有兩種，肯定的回答（用yes）和否定的回答（用no），否定式常用縮寫形式。現在還是讓我們分句型一一說明。

一、一般疑問句含be動詞時，用be動詞回答，句末用句號。例如：

-Is Mary your sister？

-Yes， she is。 / No， she isn’t。（縮寫）

二、一般疑問句含有情態動詞（can， may， should等）時，用情態動詞回答。例如：

-May I come in？

-Yes， you may。 / No， you can’t。

三、一般疑問句含有have（譯為“有”）時，有兩種回答方式。

1。直接用have/has回答。例如：

-Have they any pictures？

-Yes， they have。 / No， they haven’t。

2。用助動詞do/does回答。例如：

-Does Millie smoke？

-Yes， she does。 / No， she doesn’t。

四、一般動詞的一般疑問句回答時也用助動詞。例如：

-Do the workers live in London？

-Yes， they do。 / No， they don’t。

1） 構成一般疑問句，例如：

Do you want to pass the CET？ 你想透過大學英語測試嗎？

Did you study German？ 你們學過德語嗎？

2） do + not 構成否定句，例如：

I do not want to be criticized。 我不想挨批評。

He doesn‘t like to study。 他不想學習。

In the past， many students did not know the importance of English。 過去，好多學生不知道英語的重要性。

3） 構成否定祈使句，例如：

Don’t go there。 不要去那裡。

Don‘t be so absent-minded。 不要這麼心不在焉。

說明： 構成否定祈使句只用do，不用did和does。

4） 放在動詞原形前，加強該動詞的語氣，例如：

Do come to my birthday party。 一定來參加我的生日宴會。

I did go there。 我確實去那兒了。

I do miss you。 我確實想你。

5） 用於倒裝句，例如：

Never did I hear of such a thing。 我從未聽說過這樣的事情。

Only when we begin our college life do we realize the importance of English。

只有在開始大學生活時我們才認識到英語的重要性。

說明： 引導此類倒裝句的副詞有never， seldom， rarely， little， only， so， well等。

6） 用作代動詞，例如：

—— Do you like Beijing？ ——你喜歡北京嗎？

—— Yes， I do。 ——是的，喜歡。（do用作代動詞，代替like Beijing。）

He knows how to drive a car， doesn’t he？

他知道如何開車，對吧？

以s。x。ch。sh 結尾的+es be動詞+going+to+do其中be和do可以由其他單詞替換 be動詞由其後最接近的名詞的單複數決定
