rise和raise都有“上升，升起，上漲，舉起”等意思

但是rise多用於不及物動詞（rise後面不加賓語），raise是及物動詞（raise後面要加賓語）。

還有個簡單的方法，一般事物自身可以升高，上升的，常用rise，例如太陽東昇，河水上漲。而raise一般是人為地讓事物升高，例如舉起胳膊，提高薪水等。

The sun rose at seven o‘clock。

太陽七點鐘升起。

The river is rising after the rain。

雨後河水漲了。

The plane was then able to rise and it cleared the mountains by 400 feet。

raise是及物動詞，後面一定要加賓語。 而rise是不及物動詞，後面不能加賓語 1。raise 提起，使升高 如：raise one’s hand 舉手 2。rise 上升，升高，上漲，指有形的東西。如： the sun rises in the east。
