一·another表示三者當中或三者以上的當中的一個，比如你在餐廳，有很多種茶，他給你龍井，但你不喜歡，還有其他的很多，這種情況就用another

二·other後面要跟名詞的複數，比如：some students are playing basketball ，other students are playing pingpong。（一些學生在打籃球，其他的在打乒乓球）

三·the other常常與one連用，表示剩下的一個，比如：There are two boys playing in the playgrond，one is playing pingpong，the other one is playing basketball（有兩個男孩正在操場上玩，一個在打乒乓球，另一個在打籃球）當然，也可以表示三者以上剩下的一個

四·還有others跟“二”差不多，可以把“二”的“other students“換成others，但必須前面有指代的
