插入語沒有實意，一般為了說明邏輯主語才加入句中，起緩解語氣等作用。如，What‘s the best student you think？其中you think就是插入語，句子中沒有you think仍然可以成立（What’s the best student？），所以you think就是插入語，強調你怎麼認為，即強調邏輯主語為“你”，不是別人，沒有特殊意義，可以不翻譯。如果還是不懂，可以追問我，我這裡還有幾道關於插入語的題，多看看就明白了。
