There are no typho or tropical cyclones near the poles for the following reas：1） Low sea suce temperature： The sea is the energy source of a tropical cyclone， and that the temeprature near the poles is extremely low。 A tropical cyclone can only survive in places with a minimum sea suce temperature of 80 Fahrenheit or 27 Celsius。2） Vertical wind shear： The wind shear near the poles （verical） is usually quite high for TCs to develop。 Usually a vertical wind shear greater than 30 knots is cidered as too high for a TC。
