對女王或者國王說話時，要說Your Majesty ，這個是固定的。對於一國之君及此地位以上人物的尊稱，如：皇后、皇帝。Majesty是“王權”的意思，your majesty實際上是you， who possess majesty，也就是“擁有王權的您”，所有當著君王的面要說your，不能說my。

Her Majesty或者是His Majesty其實就是She/He， who possess the majesty“擁有王權的她/他”。類似的用法還有：

Your Highness —— 殿下

Your Excellency —— 閣下

Your Honor —— 對法官的尊稱
