夕 暮

郭沫若

我攜著三個孩子在屋後草場中嬉戲著的時候，夕陽正燒著海上的天壁，眉痕的新月已經出現在鮮紅的雲縫裡了。

草場中牧放著的幾條黃牛，不時曳著悠長的鳴聲，好像在叫它們的主人快來牽它們回去。我們的兩隻母雞和幾隻雞雛，先先後後地從鄰寺的墓地裡跑回來了。

立在廚房門內的孩子們的母親向門外的沙地上撒了一握米粒出來。

母雞們咯咯咯地叫起來了，雞雛們也啁啁地爭食起來了。

——“今年的成績真好呢，竟養大了十隻。”

歡愉的音波，在金色的暮靄中游泳。

Dust

While my three kids， accompanied by myself， were playing for fun in the meadow behind of our house， the setting sun was shining against the edge of the sky above the sea， meanwhile the crescent new moon was peeping out from the scarlet clouds。

Some sculptures grazing in the pasture mooed long every now and then to urge their master to lead them home as quickly as possible。

Our two mother hens and some baby chicks scurried homewards one after another from the graveyard of the nearby monastery。

The kids’ mother standing by the kitchen door sprinkled a handful of rice in the open sand ground。

Aloud cackled the hens and happily chattered the chicks to rush for rice。

——“We have done such a good job as to raise ten chicks fast”。

The joyous sounds were drifting in the golden evening mist。
