When we wear visiting the museum, we may always see diffrent kinds of ancient copper mirrors。 Mirror,a daily household Commodity,was used as a tool of Plastic surgery in ancient life。 Most of these cooper mirrors are unearthed from anciend tombs,and lots of them are heirlooms。 Early in the 11th century B。C。, ancient people had started to use cooper mirrors。 During the warring states,cooper mirrors are widely used amang the country。 The fronts of the mirrors were polished to be lighted,with one or double layers of patterns on their backs。The animal mask, mosaic pattern, dragon and phoenix patterns are most common among these patterns。

On Western Han Dynasty,the appearance of cooper mirrors were a little solemn,mostly carved with geometric patterns, animal patterns,and God 。 There‘re quite amounts of mirrors were engraved with Inscriptions。 Such as Sauvignon Blanc, not Forget Themselves ,Always Rich and Le Weiyang ,etc,most meanings of which are auspicious。 Later in Song and Yuan period appeared some new styles of mirrors,like round mirror, rectangular mirror, eight hand-mirror prism and the stalk 。 After Qing Dynasty, traditional mirrors were gradually replaced by glass mirrors。
