原文：我們參觀博物館時，常會看到各種古代銅鏡——古代人用來整容的家庭日用品。這些銅鏡大多是從古墓中出土的，也有少數是傳世之物。早在公元前l1世紀，先民已經使用銅鏡了。戰國時期，銅鏡在民間盛行。鏡的正面磨光發亮，背面飾單層或雙層花紋，常見的有獸面紋、花葉紋、龍鳳紋等。，西漢時期，銅鏡較厚重，紋飾多幾何圖案、神人和禽獸紋等。並有鑄刻銘文，每句僅三至四字，例如：“長相思”、 “毋相忘”、 “常富貴”、 “樂未央”等。內容多是通俗的吉祥語。宋、元時期出現了圓鏡、長方鏡、八稜鏡和帶柄手鏡等。清代以後，逐漸被玻璃鏡所代替。

When we wear visiting the museum， we may always see diffrent kinds of ancient copper mirrors。 Mirror，a daily household Commodity，was used as a tool of Plastic surgery in ancient life。 Most of these cooper mirrors are unearthed from anciend tombs，and lots of them are heirlooms。 Early in the 11th century B。C。， ancient people had started to use cooper mirrors。 During the warring states，cooper mirrors are widely used amang the country。 The fronts of the mirrors were polished to be lighted，with one or double layers of patterns on their backs。The animal mask， mosaic pattern， dragon and phoenix patterns are most common among these patterns。

On Western Han Dynasty，the appearance of cooper mirrors were a little solemn，mostly carved with geometric patterns， animal patterns，and God 。 There‘re quite amounts of mirrors were engraved with Inscriptions。 Such as Sauvignon Blanc， not Forget Themselves ，Always Rich and Le Weiyang ，etc，most meanings of which are auspicious。 Later in Song and Yuan period appeared some new styles of mirrors，like round mirror， rectangular mirror， eight hand-mirror prism and the stalk 。 After Qing Dynasty， traditional mirrors were gradually replaced by glass mirrors。

When we visit the museum， various ancient bronze mirrow can be seen-articles of family everyday use for ancient people to face lift。 These bronze mirrors are mostly from ancient tomb with few heirlooms。 Early in the first century BC， ancients have already used the bronze mirror。 In warring states period， bronze mirror was prevailling among the people。 The surface of the mirror is polishing and shining， the back with single or double decorative pattern。 The common one is beast face vein、flowers lines、dragon grain and so on。 During the Western Han dynasty period， bronze mirror is pretty heavy and its onamentation are mostly geometric pattern、immortal and beast face vein。 With engraved inscription， each sentence is only three or four words， such as：“ Consuming love”、“Not in my mind”、“Rich always“、”Music WeiYang“ and its content are all popular lucky words。During the Song and Yuan Dynasties the bronze mirrors appeared in all shapes： round， rectangular， rhomboidal， octagonal， and those with a handle。After Qing dynasty， they were gradually replaced by glass mirror。
