看美劇學英語，是一件一石二鳥的事情，即享受了美劇的精彩劇情，又能提高英語水平（特別是聽力），實在是太棒了。

然而，事實並非如此，想想自己也是看了不少美劇英劇的人了，但是英語的長進並不明顯，細想看美劇卻英語長進不了的原因，才發現，原來我看美劇是這樣的：看美劇時注意力都被精彩的劇情吸引了，對話只看中文字幕，很少去深究演員的發音和他們到底是在說什麼；偶爾能聽懂一些發音，以為自己英語也不是那麼差，但其實會的還是那麼幾句，不會的永遠也聽不懂（我是這樣的）。

所以一場美劇下來很可能是看了一場有配樂和字幕的無聲影視劇。

那麼，想透過看美劇提高英語，就不可能了嗎，當然不是。關鍵就在於你是如何“看”美劇的。之前瞭解到一個英語學習機構的老師，也把看美劇當作操練英語的一種方式，但是，高手看美劇並不在於“看”，而是在於”練“。遇到好的詞彙，和不懂得詞彙，就停下來，查字典，做記錄，讀懂後，練發音，反覆如此，可能一部1小時的美劇，被他反覆學習，消化，要花上3個小時。時間雖長，但這3小時過後，他對於這部美劇裡的英語知識已經完全搞懂，熟記於心了。

對於這位老師的學習方法，我仔細思考過，覺得這樣的方式，和我看一篇英語閱讀好像沒什麼區別：讀一篇閱讀，把不懂得句子，短語，詞彙記錄下來，弄懂後加以練習，不是一樣的嗎？

其實不然。看美劇與閱讀最大的差別在於，美劇裡的英語學習場景化特別強。每一個可記錄的知識點都在影視劇的特定劇情下出現的，這也是動態影片學習和靜態文字閱讀的最大區別之處。透過美劇，你可以很清楚的知道這樣的一句話是什麼意思，用在哪些場景，你是在哪一情節遇見過這個知識點的，極有助於記憶和運用。

緊接之前的看美劇學英語的練習，繼續實踐我對看美劇學英語理念的理解。

終於把摩登家庭看完了並作完筆記了，雖然時間跨度長，但也算是完成了自己定下的任務。 學英語是一件任重而道遠的事情，當練習的越來越多時，漸漸能感受到熟能生巧了。

看美劇真的不在於看而在於“練”！

摩登家庭很適合用來練習地道日常生活口語的表達。［之前寫過摩登家庭1-3集的相關筆記，以下是4-24集的內容，有些表達］
