direct 是指導多於指引，有提出指令、指示，甚至要求之意，而且是很直接而具體的提出來的。例如電影的導演是 Director，企業的掌舵人也有 Director的職位。

guide則是指引，少了規定、要求的意味，多了引導、幫助的含意，就像旅行的導遊 Tourist Guide，他們帶你到一個景點，介紹一下特色、背景資料，之後你自己決定要看些、做些什麼。
