fruit指“水果”時，為集體名詞，只用單數，不用複數。如果指不

同種類的水果或事情的結果時，則用複數fruits。試比較：

①I‘d like to go and buy some fruit．

我想去買些水果。（不用fruits）

②Do you like fruit？

你喜歡吃水果嗎？（不用fruits）

③I like to eat bananas， apples， pears and other fruits．
